This week I was pondering the state of the women sitting in our churches. Many women have come from very destructive family foundations. A family where the nurturing and developing of their personality is twisted and crippled by abuse, neglect or indifference. Is it a wonder that women are willing to go through extremes to be beautiful or great compromise to be loved. God is watching us and loves us so much. He understands what has happened to this generation of women and has His hand extended to us. He wants to speak beautiful things to us that He fully intends to back up in our lives. God is not like the love we know that deserts us when we need it most. His love is not based on our performance toward Him, His love is unconditional without expectation. God knows that we haven't been taught how to love, or have a normal relationship or even parent our children. He also knows love is modeled and absorbed. If we don't get it modeled at home we will learn by what we see around us. Often times we look to those we admire, usually icons that are disastrously inept in portraying God's love.
I have found through praying with women, and personal experience, that indifference from a parent is harder to file than abuse. We can justify abuse as illness on the parents part but them not seeing our worthiness is something we embrace and take on as a truth in our soul. When we feel unworthy of attention or recognition, we then will find the very people that will fulfill that belief about ourselves. Relationship after relationship will end in failure and further our mindset that says we are unworthy of true love and acceptance. God so wants to change our view of ourselves.
These images are really in our heavens. They call this God's eye. If He can create these wonders, He certainly can create perfect love in us.
Zephaniah 3
V16 In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: Do not be afraid, Oh Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp.
V17 The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His Love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
Those of you who are coming into the Healing Rooms and humbly submitting yourselves, hang in there............. Gods' words can do nothing less than come alive in your life!
Never give up, Never give in!
This is a powerful group of scriptures. I was having trouble comprehending the meaning at first, so I had to read it aloud, which usually serves to clear the air around my head. You clearified many things that have eluded me for sometime. Especially the leviathan, I never understood what that referred to though I knew is was a symbol, I could not place it.
